I was a little skeptical about how much grip a yoga mat could really have, but this 5mm taupe one surprised me—the textured surface kept my hands from sliding even during a sweaty flow. It’s got just enough cushion for my knees on the floor, and the neutral color is a nice bonus for home practice.

The textured surface on this mat gives me way more confidence in downward dog than my old one ever did. At 5mm it's the perfect balance of cushion for my knees without feeling like I'm sinking into the floor.

Finally a mat that doesn't slide around during downward dog—the textured surface keeps me stable even when I'm sweating. It's firm enough for balancing poses yet soft on my wrists.
